June 25, 2004 – Prison Fellowship leader Chuck Colson has recently written a commentary arguing that the legalization of same-sex marriage may contribute to an ever-widening world-wide problem with Islamic terrorism.
According to Colson, Islamic terrorists hate America for its spreading of hedonism, pornography, and materialism around the world. Colson points out that while we shouldn’t blame innocent Americans for 9/11, "let’s understand how America’s increasing decadence is, in a sense, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. … when we allow babies to be killed at the point of birth, we are fueling the flames of radical Islam. And when we talk about legitimizing homosexuality by granting same-sex relationships the status of marriage, we’re giving powerful ammunition to those who use America’s decadence to recruit more snipers and hijackers and suicide bombers."

Oh, by all means, let's just do what they want! After all, the way to deal with people who commit genocide against us because they don't agree with our 'decadence' is to concede to their expectations! Certainly we shouldn't consider their radical behavior an indication that we shouldn't put much stock in their ideas of what's right. I think Chucky boy needs to be slapped around a bit.
Chuck and others like him, just like to sit around all day thinking of new ways to oppress us. And saying that allowing us to marry causes terrorism, is them in a dry spell. It's soooo ridiculous it's laughable. If that is true, why don't we have women as property (not that I would want one, sorry ladies you can't have me err.. I can't have or want you!)? Wouldn’t that cut down on terrorism too?
Also whatever happened to freedom isn't free? Many have died for our freedoms in the past, but it seems that they think our freedoms are not worth protecting. What about gays in the military? What are they fighting for; a nation that wishes to oppress them?
This just reminds me that I hate the religious right and they will drop to any level that they wish to make me look less then human. I think that chuck is the last person that needs a church or fellowship, or whatever he calls it (I call it a hate group). I was always told, growing up, that church was about preaching gods love; still haven’t seen that. I see, mostly, is their growing hatred for homosexuals, and them thinking that they are better then everyone else. I know that all religious people are not like that, I know a few (not many though) in fact that are not like that, but they still go to the churches that spews forth bullshit about homosexuals. I’ve seen a local church accept a rapist, but they despise homosexuals. It still complexes me how they think they can justify that; a homosexual that has probably never committed a crime in his life, is worse then a admitted rapist. I guess as long as the rapist was straight, their god of discrimination could save him
