The Other Side Of Me

This Blog is a documentation, a day-to-day account of my coming out process. This is here so people can read, and see where i've made mistakes and where i've made progress, so that during their coming out they can attempt to avoid or emulate those things. It is also here, to show the struggle me and many others have faced, when coming to terms with our sexuality.

Hay hey hey... Today has been good.

I don't know why, nothing special was happing today and i felt that it was a good day, but later in the day i gave me a reason to enjoy today. I came out to a girl that i knew in High School, and she is related to me to boot. She works at Wal-mart, it seems that i'm coming out all over there, and she just had a kid. I didn't know that she had a kid, so that shows you how much i keep up with people i know from High School; i would of put "people i'm related to" but i didn't know i was related to her until high school.

Well, lets get down to it, "how did she take it?". Very well, i was kinda worried when i told her, because her reaction was "Oh" and to me it didn't sound like a good "Oh." i guess i was wrong, she then told me that she was Okay with it and that she was glad that i was finally coming out. We talked for awhile, and she said that she was going to vote this year, but she waited too long, but that she was wanting to vote because she wanted to vote against the bill that banned gay marriage in Oklahoma's constitution. Then i told her the reason i decided to register was because of Bush and his policies regarding gay marriage.

I'm glad that i went into wal-mart today, i really don't know why i went to wal-mart to buy a bottle of pop (soda for all ya'll in the north) there is like a gas station ever few feet here (and it's such a small town), but i'm glad i did.
