Somebody Up There Loves You... Direct TV
I'm now a Semi-proud Quasi-employee of a Hughes-ion company commonly known as Direct TV.

Right now i'm going for training... so i'll know what to do, instead of telling a caller that there guess is as good as mine; which at this point it's true.
Ok, here is how to goes:
Training will be from 3:15pm to 11:45pm.
Training will be 3 weeks, then 2 weeks on the job training.
I start Training today (Monday, December 05, 2005). I have to go in early so i can get my badge and stuff, have to get a parking permit and everything. So, i'm no longer unemployed (read: free)... *Sniff*
I get about $8.50 an hour for the Training then after the training i get $9.50 an hour. Also after 6mos i get free DirectTv! Wooooooo. and stuff. Plus i get some spending cash!
I just hope i don't get anyone too bitchy on the phone; 'cause if i do i might just hang up on them... Right after turning off their service... j/k.
So please get DirectTV and tell'em that their best employee ever (me) convinced you to go Direct TV instead of Dish and Cable... Remember: Brian Allen Smith is the one that convinced you! Made you pick them over Dish and Cable. And mention something about a raise or promotion or parade in my name. Then end it with, "God bless that fine upstanding man".

Hmmm, I think you should sell that free dish on the Ebays when you get it... HAHA, we're gonna have to get you off that Win95 (TM) computer and onto a blazing fast WinME!! (And damn microphone!)
I heard Suse 10 just added buenos dias softmodem support, so you're gonna have to try that shit out. (I still recommend Ubuntu or Debian, though, but I'm a cunt.) This linux shit runs the hell out of the gizmos; I know that's right.
I am happy for you Brian and I think that you will do just fine! Good Luck!
Poose, sad thing is... i have a copy of WinMe...
It came with my laptop. (well, a restore CD with WinME)..
I'm planning on keeping the Dish and crap, and upgradeing to a DVR+ or whatever... $100+ of service will run me only like $5.99 (the DVR service, only). So i can record shows while i'm working, then go home and watch them... so my whole entire life will revolve around DirecTV.

So far it seems easy enough.
