The Other Side Of Me

This Blog is a documentation, a day-to-day account of my coming out process. This is here so people can read, and see where i've made mistakes and where i've made progress, so that during their coming out they can attempt to avoid or emulate those things. It is also here, to show the struggle me and many others have faced, when coming to terms with our sexuality.

Does our blood need to be shed, to show that we do bleed?

I was watching C-Span today(technically yesterday)... It was the worst thing I could of done. I was feeling pretty good about today, until the defense of marriage debate came on. I didn't get to watch much, because I was at the dentist, but what I did see disappointed me. There hatred they tried to pass off as virtue pained me. When will they learn that we love just as much and they do? They kept spouting off that children should be raised by a man and a woman. What about a Man and a Man, A Woman and a Woman? Will they love any less? Will they neglect what they care for? Are gay couples incapable of caring for another life?

When will they be satisfied? When unstable straight families are 'proven' better and more important to society then stable gay families? They tired to prove that allowing such marriages will harm this country with there charts. There charts where utter bullshit. They compared us to Norway. And how after the 90's marriage decreased, about the same time gay marriage was allowed. But what they didn't tell you that there was something happens in Norway. There churches were being burnt. I would think that would cause a decrease in marriage. Many people believe the need to married in a church. But would they I they get married if they knew it was a possibility that they could lose there lives? Many are still scared over 9/11, is it possible that those people could have been scared too? Did you not heed warnings our government put out after 9/11? What if it kept happening? Would that change how you go about things?

I know they will not stop until we are deprived, and we will not stop until we are treated fairly. All I know as a whole, against and for, will have darker days ahead.

the time has come it is quite clear
our antichrist
is almost here...

sorry.. My posts have been dark, but I cannot force happiness. And I never said it wouldn't be dark. This blog is about me, but more importantly now about the closet. Everyone has positive coming out stories, I want people to know what comes before that. Maybe then when someone comes out it wont be a disappointment to people , but a comfort to them, knowing that you've been through hell and now can move on.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
