The Other Side Of Me

This Blog is a documentation, a day-to-day account of my coming out process. This is here so people can read, and see where i've made mistakes and where i've made progress, so that during their coming out they can attempt to avoid or emulate those things. It is also here, to show the struggle me and many others have faced, when coming to terms with our sexuality.

Just Ordered a Book...

Since no one in Oklahoma reads, you shouldn't be surprised, that I’m not surprised, that the book I want wasn't in stock at the either of the two Boarders in Tulsa. So I had to place a store pick up order, I ordered 'The Shared Heart: Portraits and Stories Celebrating Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Young People' (ISBN: 006447304X). So in about 1-6 weeks (after they confirm it, and i have to wait til they open before they can do that) it should be in, just hope I can keep from spending all my money til then, and I just found out that there is a gay pride shop in OKC (Oklahoma City) :[. I had to use my sisters phone number, because I know that if I used my home phone, my parents will answer it and the person on the other side will be asking if they ordered the 'fag book'.

Also, Why Doesn’t Barnes & Noble's website have a feature so you can search what each store has in stock? You would think that would be on their site. Borders has that feature!

Another Thing... Oklahoma needs to gay-it-up, when searching on borders web site, I only seen one book, in a local borders inventory, which was gay related. Disappointing, but not unexpected.
