Sure my life isn't the nightmare?
Koge commented on one of my posts about a dream that he had, so I decided to tell you of two of the reoccurring nightmares I have had.
The first nightmare is one that makes me feel helpless.
It takes place in a plastic reality, everything is so fake and beautiful and I’m the only that is there; out of place with all this beauty there is a darkness around me. For a couple hundred feet around me the ground is perfectly level, and beyond that there are gently sloping hills, almost like the ones in XP’s packaged desktop, but the grass isn’t real, it’s almost like a green carpet, and the sky is empty, nothing but a light gray, and even without a sun its still bright out. In the middle of this level field is a pool, sunk in the ground, with perfectly clear water, with a gentle hit of a blue hue. So clear you can’t judge how deep it goes, the water fills the pool to about 2 feet below the brim, the water was also calm, the surface looked like glass. Surrounding the pool, for about 4 feet out, is a border of cement. I’m next to the pool when I see something coming over the hill. Too far to see what exactly it is, I just see a white dot. Just as it finishes climbing the hill and starts to descend it, there is another dot climbing to the top. As it approaches I see that the never ending line of dots in single file, like an ant trail, are actually little Sealyham Terrier, soon ones gets close enough that I can see it clearly; it is a pure white color, with black hallow eyes. It doesn’t even acknowledge my existence, marching right past me without a look or stare. Wondering where it was going I looked, it was heading straight for the pool. Thinking it was thirsty; I let it approach the pool. It marched right into the pool; the water made no splash only a slight ripple. I ran toward the pool to save it, but when I looked in, it was not there. Then the next fell in, but whatever touched the water disappeared. Deciding that I had to do something, I grabbed one from the line, and placed it a couple feet away, while I went to get another. But as soon as I did, it walked back toward the line, and the other dogs made room for it, and it continued it journey toward the pool. No matter what I did, they still were determine to die.
The next nightmare is one that I use to have in grade school all the time.
This nightmare takes place in a auto junkyard, a massive auto junkyard (think Nightmare on Elm St’s auto junkyard in I think #5). There are spires of cars crushed on top of each other, reaching about the height of a two-story building. There were also spires of used, wore out tires, they reached only a little higher then myself and down. The ground has random parts strewn across the loose dirt with spots covered in oil. Looking around I notice that the junkyard is actually a maze, and I’m in a clearing in the middle of it. After realizing that, they appear, 3 (mostly 3, but sometimes there can be up to 6) Black with a hit of dark gray wolves. They are massive, and are bearing their teeth at me. I started to run, not knowing what else to do, and they chase. During the case I notice that only one is now fallowing me, the other soon appear from the sides, the wolves know the maze. They chase me around for what seem like forever, and then I finally loose them enough to hide. There is a overturned car, I hide in what would be its underbelly, pressing as close as I can to it. They are in what seems like a room, where I’m hiding, they don’t seem to notice that I’m there. As I hold my breath, they are sniffing around, just before they are about to leave and give up I either make an inaudible sound or move slightly, but they notice and run straight to my hideout. I barely manage to escape and start to begin running around the maze again. About this time I usually wake up.
Those are my two most reoccurring dreams, odd that they both have dogs of some sort, but I haven’t had them in like 2+ years now. Probably when I go to sleep I’ll have them, now that I said that.
